Description: Before you even taste it, the characteristic aroma of lemon verbena is a natural mood booster. Traditionally known and favored for its pleasant fragrance, but also for its many beneficial properties, lemon verbena contributes to the body’s detoxification by helping to flush away excess fluids. It also has a positive effect on mood and sleep, helps relieve mental stress, and alleviates gastrointestinal ailments.
Origin: Lemon verbena is a perennial, herbaceous plant, distinguished by its small purple cross-shaped flowers. In antiquity, it was also called sacred herb. Our lemon verbena is grown in Melissochori of Karditsa, according to the most advanced biological practices and with respect for the environment. The local soil offers perfect growing conditions. We farm it with care, and it repays us with lemon verbena of excellent quality, with all the exceptional properties that make it so unique.
Uses: Hot beverage: Heat 250 ml water to 95°C. Steep the pyramid for 3-5 minutes. Ideally, cover the cup to preserve the tea’s aromas and active ingredients. Then remove the pyramid and, if you wish, add Symbeeosis honey or stevia.
Cold beverage: Prepare like a hot beverage but with half the water, then add cold water or ice.
Tip: To make your beverage stronger, use less water per pyramid. To make it lighter, use more.
Recipe:
A pitcher with the mild flavor notes of lemon verbena combined with the aroma of herbs and citrus fruits and the sweetness of berries. A refreshing drink for any hour
Ingredients: 2 Greek Organic Lemon Verbena pyramids, 2 sprigs of Greek Organic Mountain Tea Flowers, fresh lemon peels, fresh mint sprigs, berries (optional)
Method: In a large mug, add hot water, the 2 Greek Organic Lemon Verbena pyramids and the mountain tea flowers. Steep the pyramids and the flowers for 10 minutes, preferably keeping the cup covered, and then remove. In a pitcher, add two cups of water and the cup with the hot infusion. Serve in a glass over ice with the mint sprigs, lemon slices, and berries.
Be symbiotic: You can add lemon juice and fresh cucumber slices. If you prefer a sweeter taste, add honey or stevia.
